QR Code Ordering System

In this project, the group is expected to develop an application encompassing the entire process from products management, products marketing, and products selection for purchasing to invoicing and delivery in an organized and secure manner. The application is to make use of QR code to speed up a retailing process. The application will allow, for example, a buyer to select
items (products) the buyer intended to buy without queuing in the retail shop by scanning a barcode or QR code from the products using a mobile device. The selected items together with payment information will be summarized. The payment information should be ideally be encrypted. The buyer can just show the QR code to the cashier, the cashier will then scan the QR code to get all the order information at once, together with the payment information. A managers of a retailer should be able to create products, marketing materials, promotions as well as any other relevant information and generate relevant QR codes for each of them. The application also should allow buyers to browse through catalogues, search products and any other relevant or useful information and make order using the associated QR Code. The QR codes should be quick and easy to update based on changes to the products, marketing information, and promotions, in other words, the QR codes should be up to date at all time.
